School of Computer Science, Information and Technology

IT sector is one of the most rapidly developing industries in the world – integration of technology in almost all spheres of human activity ensures that this tendency will continue and that there will be a constant demand for IT professionals in the labor market.
It is a common mistake to think that IT specialists spend their day working only with the newest technologies and computers. It is necessary to know how to set goals, be pragmatic and responsible as the work of contemporary IT specialists influences the way people think, changes their behavioral patterns and their lives.

Bachelors of Science in Information Technology

This is a Bachelor's degree awarded for an undergraduate course or program in the Information technology field. The degree is normally required in order to work in the Information technology industry.
A Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree program typically takes four years depending. This degree is primarily focused on subjects such as software, databases, and networking. This degree focuses on the mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing rather than emphasizing specific technologies. This degree is awarded for completing a program of study in the field of software development, software testing, software engineering, web design, databases, programming, computer networking and computer systems.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering

Software engineering, also categorized with computer software engineering, deals with the design, management and installation of computer software products. Software engineering students must have a solid background in mathematics and be knowledgeable in computer programming.
Working on complex software development environments, operating systems, communications, web software, databases and varied applications, you will undertake studies in all facets of the software engineering process.
Software engineering focuses on the software development life cycle, but goes beyond programming to assess and meet customer needs, and design and test software.
Developing software solutions often involves assembling extensive amounts of code into working applications, as well as updating and fixing problems in existing software.

Bachelor of Telecommunications

The Bachelor of Telecommunications Engineering (BS) program helps students to demonstrate theoretical and technical knowledge of telecommunications systems associated with LANs, MANs, and WANs. Students will learn to design, implement, and manage telecommunications systems using voice and data.
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications typically takes 4 years to complete. In this program students come to know about voice, video and Internet communications and how to make these accessible within organizations. Some of the courses included in a bachelor's programs in Telecommunications include local area networks, wireless communications and voice Telecommunications systems as well as analog and digital telecommunications. You may also cover topics like telecommunications transmission systems and networking technology.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Hardware Engineering

Computer hardware engineering programs focus heavier on computer science and computer hardware. Computer engineering students should have a strong background in math and science. They should also have good communication skills and an interest in computers.

Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering

Computer engineering, an integration of computer science and electrical engineering, is used to develop computer software and hardware; however, unlike CS and EE, computer engineers use data structure and abstract algorithms to control devices. Rich in computer science courses, computer engineering programs utilize many elective courses, allowing students to customize a program to meet their areas of concentration.
